Design/Build
Design-Build is a method of building in which both the design and construction functions are contracted and controlled from the same source. The benefit of this method is that it allows for more organization because there is only one point of accountability.
The leading cause of failure, delays, and out of control cost for a project is poor communication and a lack of planning. At Franklin Development Trust we realize that the Design-Build method is one of the most effective and efficient means of building industry wide. It offers the client more involvement in the project from the planning phase on.
In the Design-Build process we coordinate and manage the design process with the client based on their needs, budget, and schedule. We then coordinate and manage a series of “trade” contractors who bid for packages of work, with each of the trade contractors performing work in their specialty area.
